The Story

Shannon picked up a golf club at age 14 — late by competitive standards. Three weeks later, she won her first junior tournament. Within a few years, she had earned an NCAA Division I scholarship at a major program, where she pursued degrees in business and kinesiology while playing collegiate golf. After college, mini-tour events led to competing on the LPGA Tour.

Her competitive career ended on a rainy October morning when 128 head of cattle wandered onto an interstate, causing a near-fatal accident. Unable to compete again, Shannon found her real passion in teaching. Mentored by Ken Venturi — the legendary PGA Tour player and 35-year CBS golf voice — and trained by Sarasota Sports Doctors who treat elite athletes, she built a teaching method centered on biomechanics, kinesiology, and helping the body work with the swing rather than against it.

Today, she's known internationally as the “Bio-Golf Coach” — a teaching philosophy built on the idea that every golfer has a unique swing rooted in their own anatomy. After teaching thousands of golfers in over 80 countries, including 15 years with Crystal Cruises, Shannon's mission is simple: it should be fun to play well without pain. That's what she brings to every Shannon Kneisler golf lesson in Kansas City.

Who Shannon Teaches Best

Personalized golf instruction for every player — but Shannon brings something special to these groups. If you're comparing LPGA golf lessons in Kansas City, this is how she stands apart.

Women Golfers & Junior Girls

An LPGA Class A Professional and former LPGA tour player, Shannon understands the women's game in ways most golf instructors don't. New to the game? Returning after years off? Want a coach who's been where you want to go? Women's golf lessons in Kansas City don't get more credible than this — and juniors get the same patient, anatomy-first coaching.

55+ Golfers Finding Their Mature Swing

Shannon's specialty. As we age, our bodies change — and the swing that worked at 35 won't always work at 65. Shannon's biomechanics-first approach helps mature golfers find a swing that's sustainable, repeatable, and free from pain. Sound like you? 55+ golf lessons in Kansas City start here.

Players Returning From Injury

Shannon knows pain. After her own accident, she trained with sports physiatry specialists who treat elite athletes. If injury, surgery, or chronic discomfort has changed your game, she can help you build a swing that respects your body — another reason players seek her out as a Shannon Kneisler golf instructor.

The Bio-Golf Method

Why Shannon's approach gets results faster than traditional instruction

Most golf instruction starts with a textbook swing and tries to force every body into the same shape. Shannon does the opposite. She starts with your body — your range of motion, your flexibility, your old injuries, your strengths — and builds a swing that works with you, not against you.

This is biomechanics, kinesiology, and physics applied to golf. It's also why her students often see improvements within just a few sessions: they're not fighting their natural form anymore — whether you book indoor time for practice or a focused lesson at All Seasons in Kansas City.

Many of Shannon's students have shaved about 2 strokes off their scores within just a few weeks of learning their natural swing.
